Sond Nuts and Bolts manufactures Non-Preloaded Structural Bolting Assemblies by following all the regulations specified in EN 15048. Our Structural Bolt fulfills general requirements and also passes the suitability test provided in EN 15048. EN 15048 contains regulations governing products used for the design, calculation and manufacture of non-preloaded bolt connections for steel structures. Part 1 sets out the general requirements and part 2 the suitability test. SNB guarantees that all of the structural bolts in its range meet these requirements.
This means that:
- Nuts and bolts shall be packed and supplied in the original and unopened box.
- Nuts and bolts in a single connection must originate from one and the same manufacturer.
- Surface treatments on the nuts and bolts may only be applied under the manufacturer's supervision.
- Standard shall be labelled with:
- CE marking
- Lot number
- Reference to EN 15048-1
- "SB" marking
- Identification number of the certified authority and manufacturer
- Dimension
- Property class marking
- Product designation (ISO standard for bolts ISO 4014 or 4017 and nuts ISO 4032)
- The nuts and bolts shall be marked with:
- Property class marking
- Special marking "SB" (Structural Bolting)
- Identification mark of the manufacturer of the assembly
